Regatta Day is a holiday on the first Wednesday of August
(weather permitting) for those lucky enough to
work in St. John's. It's a joy for many townies.
Those living outside of St. John's are certainly jealous.
The day usually involves a visit to Quidi Vidi Lake to see
the rowing races, to take a chance on a game and
have a treat.
